An experimental film that delves into the pleasures, architecture, and labour of an archetypal American theme park. The film flits between fantasy, straight documentation and reconstructed events.

These sculptures are a part of a body of work encompassing drawings, sculptures, prints and paintings that relate to and are sometimes literal translations of architectural and construction drawings of stage scenery.

The imagery printed on the fabric is a photograph of a segment of a dry stone wall taken on a hike in North West England. The wall segment was printed in 6 different sections over 50 yards. Once printed, I attempted to hand stitch the wall back together, but was never successful because the shapes and negative spaces that were created during the sewing became more interesting than the original intended outcome. The piecing together process is an illustration of how futile it is to try to recreate one specific moment in time and how your mind will change and fill in the gaps that you cannot remember. The placement of the pieces is a response to the architecture of the space. The folding is used to highlight the most interesting visual parts of that particular segment whether that be voids in the printing process due to a stray thread in the way, negative spaces, or marks made from the stitching.
